Our Mission
As a community of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, our mission is to carry out God's Great Commission.
Our Beliefs
Driven by the Spirit of Christ, Greater Emmanuel Church is a community of believers in the Lord Jesus. We worship our God and King, work together in love and fellowship, and embrace our mission to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ worldwide.
OUR WORSHIP
Greater Emmanuel is a spirit-filled, Bible-based church that aims to worship God in spirit and truth, following worship practices outlined in the Bible.
1. We raise our hands because 1 Timothy 2:8 says, “I will therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands.”
2. We clap our hands because Psalms 47:1 says, “O clap your hands, all ye people.”
3. We sing and play music because Ephesians 5:19 says to worship “in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord,” and Psalms 150 says to praise God with musical instruments.
4. We worship with a joyful noise because Psalms 66:1 says, “Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands.”
5. We pray aloud because the early church “lifted up their voice to God with one accord” in prayer (Acts 4:24).
6. We dance in the Spirit because Psalms 149:3 says, “Let them praise His name in the dance.”
7. We include testimonials, teaching, preaching, and spiritual gifts because 1 Corinthians 14:26 says, “Whenever you come together, each of you has a psalm, has a teaching, has a tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation.”
